When to use this article
Use this walkthrough to create or edit your adult profile in ParensUP, or to remove an adult guardian from the family.

Adult profiles: create, edit, or delete

On ParensUP, adult login and adult profile are different things — understand what each one does before configuring.

  • Adult login: access used to sign in to the app, with email and password or Google.
  • Adult profile: lets the adult take part in the family routine, create tasks for themselves, have their own goals and mark tasks as complete.
01

Sign in to your guardian account

On your phone, open the ParensUP app and sign in with your adult/guardian login.

02

Go to Settings

On the app's bottom bar, tap Settings.

03

Open "Manage family"

On the settings screen, tap Manage family.

04

Tap "Adults"

On the family management screen, tap Adults.

05

Select the adult

Tap the adult you want to edit or delete.

What do you want to do next?
Create or edit your adult profile
Use this option to complete or update your adult profile. You may need this if you created the account without setting up an adult profile.
or
Delete an adult from the family
Use this option if you want to leave the family or remove another adult guardian.
If you want to Create or edit your adult profilecontinue to step 06

If you want to Delete an adult from the family, continue to step 08

06

Tap "Edit"

After selecting the adult, tap Edit.

07

Update your profile information

You can edit the information on your own adult profile:

  1. Avatar
  2. Name
  3. Relationship
  4. Date of birth
  5. Characteristic that describes you
  6. Goal in the app

Then save the changes.

All set! Your adult profile has been updated. Now you can also use the profile to create tasks and goals for yourself, and mark tasks as complete.
08

Tap "Delete"

After selecting the adult, tap Delete.

09

Confirm the deletion

Read the confirmation message carefully.

If everything is fine, confirm the deletion by tapping Delete.

Important: you can delete your own access or other adult guardians, but you cannot delete the last guardian of the family. If you're the only adult registered, you'll need to delete the account to leave ParensUP.
