Tasks: create, edit, and delete

In ParensUP, the guardian can create tasks manually, use ready suggestions, edit existing tasks, and delete one or several tasks from the routine.

Part 1

Create a task

You can create a new task from two paths: from the Home tab (in Quick actions) or from the Tasks tab.

01

Sign in to your guardian account

On your phone, open the ParensUP app and sign in with your adult/guardian login.

02

Choose where to create the task

You can follow one of these paths:

Choose one of the paths below
From the Home tab
Tap [Home]. In [Quick actions], tap [Create task].
or
From the Tasks tab
Tap [Tasks]. Then tap [Create task].
03

Choose how to create the task

You can choose between two options:

Choose one of the options below
Use a suggestion
Opens a list of suggested tasks. The form comes pre-filled, but you can adjust before creating.
or
Create from scratch
Opens a blank form for you to configure the task manually.
04

Fill in the task data

Fill in the information requested in the app:

  1. Task icon
  2. Task name
  3. Category
  4. Time
  5. Frequency
  6. Reward in points
  7. Reward in symbolic money
  8. Whom the task will be assigned to

In frequency, you can choose between: every day, specific days, monthly, biweekly, or specific date. If there is more than one child in the family, you can assign the same task to more than one child at once.

05

Tap "Create task"

After reviewing the information, tap Create task.

All set! The task has been created. It will show up in the routine of the selected child or children.

💡 Tips

  • The suggested tasks come pre-filled with initial information like name, category, frequency, time, and rewards. Even so, you can adjust anything before creating.
  • The points and money used in tasks are symbolic. They work as an educational tool to encourage responsibility and organization, but do not represent real money.
  • Before deleting a task, double-check the chosen option — deleting tasks cannot be undone.
