Complete tasks and mark as done
In ParensUP, tasks can be marked as completed by the adult/guardian or by the child, if their individual login is activated. When parental approval is on, tasks completed by the child need to be approved by the guardian before being counted.
Mark a task from the adult login
Sign in to your guardian account
On your phone, open the ParensUP app and sign in with your adult/guardian login.
Select the child
At the top of the screen, tap the child's name.
The app will open a profile selector. If there's more than one child in the family, pick the desired child.
Go to the "Tasks" tab
On the app's bottom bar, tap Tasks.
Mark the task as done
You can complete the task in two ways:
Mark a task from the child's login
The child can also mark tasks from their own access, as long as their individual login is activated.
Open the child's login
On the child's phone or device, open the ParensUP app and sign in with the access code and password set by the guardian.
Go to the "Tasks" tab
On the app's bottom bar, tap Tasks.
Mark the task as completed
Tap the task checkbox to mark it as done.
Approve a task from the notification
When parental approval is active and the child completes a task, the guardian can approve or reject from the notification.
Open notifications
From the adult/guardian login, open the Notifications area.
Find the request
Look for the notification of the task sent for approval.
Open the request
Tap the notification to see the details.
Approve or reject
Choose one of the options:
- Approve — The task will be counted.
- Reject — The task will not be counted as completed.
Approve a task from the Tasks tab
You can also review pending tasks directly in the Tasks tab.
Open the "Tasks" tab
From the adult/guardian login, tap Tasks.
Find the pending task
The task waiting for approval shows up with a clock-shaped check, in yellow or orange.
Open the task's details
Tap the task to open the details.
Approve or reject
Below the task's main information, tap:
- Approve
- Reject
💡 Tips
- The child can only mark tasks from their own access if the individual login is activated.
- If parental approval is active, the task completed by the child is not counted immediately — it waits for the guardian's decision.
