Use this article to understand how the adult profile works in ParensUP and which features are available for guardians.

How the adult profile works

The adult profile is optional, but it can be useful for guardians who also want to organize their own routine in ParensUP.

  • Adult login: the access used to sign in to the app, with email and password or Google.
  • Adult profile: the guardian's space inside the family routine — lets you organize your own tasks, track goals, and take part in the routine alongside the children.

Features available in the adult profile

With the adult profile, you can:

  1. Track individual statistics for completed tasks.
  2. Create, edit, and delete tasks.
  3. Mark tasks as completed.
  4. Create a daily goal and track how many days it was reached.
  5. Print the weekly board.
  6. Receive and view compliments sent by the children.
Part 2

Features that don't exist in the adult profile

Some features are designed for tracking the children and, for that reason, don't appear in the adult profile.

In the adult profile, there is no:

  1. Points
  2. Symbolic money
  3. Incentives
  4. Behavior

These features are available in the children's profiles, according to the plan and the family settings.

Part 3

How to access the adult profile

Select your adult profile

  1. Sign in to the app with your adult/guardian login.
  2. At the top of the screen, tap the current profile name.
  3. In the profile selector, choose your adult profile.

After that, the app tabs will show the information for the selected profile.

How to create tasks for the adult

Create a task from the adult profile

  1. Select the adult profile on the top bar.
  2. Go to the Home or Tasks tab.
  3. Tap Create task.
  4. Choose a suggestion or create a task from scratch.
  5. Fill in the task information.
  6. Tap Create task.

How to mark tasks as completed

Mark a task from the adult profile

  1. Select the adult profile on the top bar.
  2. Go to the Tasks tab.
  3. Tap the task checkbox to mark it as done.

You can also tap the task, open its details, and mark it as completed there.

How to create a daily goal for the adult

Create a daily goal

  1. Select the adult profile on the top bar.
  2. Go to the Home tab.
  3. On the Goal card, tap to create a goal.
  4. Select the tasks that will be part of the daily goal.
  5. Tap Create goal.

After that, you can track how many days you reached this goal.

Part 7

How to view, edit, or delete compliments

In the adult profile, you can receive and view compliments sent by the children. You can also see compliments you've sent.

Open the compliments board

  1. Select the adult profile on the top bar.
  2. Go to the Home tab.
  3. On the Compliments card, tap to open the compliments board.
  4. View received and sent compliments.

Edit or delete a compliment

  1. Tap the compliment.
  2. On the details screen, tap Edit or Delete.
  3. Confirm or save the change.

💡 Tips

  • The adult profile is different from the login used to sign in to the app.
  • If you can't find your adult profile in the selector, see Create, edit, or delete adult profiles for the family.
  • The adult profile doesn't use points or symbolic money — it focuses on organizing the guardian's own routine.
