When to use this article

Use this walkthrough to record, edit, or delete good deeds in ParensUP.

Good deeds: record, edit, and delete

Good deeds are used to recognize something positive the child did — when recording, the guardian can add points or symbolic money to the child's balance. It is an exclusive ParensUP Premium feature.

Part 1

Record a good deed

Open the behavior record screen

There are two paths to reach the record screen:

Choose the path

From the Home tab

Via Quick actions on Home.

From the Behavior tab

Via the + New record button.

Important: good deeds are part of the Behavior tab — an exclusive ParensUP Premium feature. See how to activate Premium if you don't have it yet.

If you chose From the Home tabcontinue to step 02

If you chose From the Behavior tab, continue to step 03

Open from the Home tab

Sign in to the app with the adult/guardian login.
Go to the Home tab.
In Quick actions, tap Record behavior.
Select Good deed.

Open from the Behavior tab

Sign in to the app with the adult/guardian login.
Go to the Behavior tab.
Tap + New record.
Select Good deed.

Fill in the main information

Enter:

Icon
What happened?
Category

Then tap Next.

Set the symbolic reward

Tell whether the good deed will have a reward in:

Points
Symbolic money

This value will be added to the child's balance.

Add a note if you want

You can write a note about the good deed.

This field is optional.

Tap "Record good deed"

After reviewing the information, tap Record good deed.

All set! The good deed has been recorded. The value set will be added to the child's symbolic balance and the behavior score may go up.

Part 2

View a good deed

Open the "Behavior" tab

Open the Good deeds card

On the Behavior tab, open the Good deeds card.

Tap the record

Tap the record you want to view.

Part 3

Edit a good deed

Open the good deed

On the Behavior tab, on the Good deeds card, tap the desired good deed.

Tap "Edit"

On the details screen, tap Edit.

Make the changes

Change whatever is needed in the form.

Save the changes

After reviewing, save the changes.

All set! The good deed has been updated.

Part 4

Delete a good deed

Open the good deed

On the Behavior tab, on the Good deeds card, tap the desired good deed.

Tap "Delete"

On the details screen, tap Delete.

Confirm the deletion

Confirm the deletion.

Heads up: review the record before confirming. Deletion is permanent.

Part 5

Delete multiple good deeds

Open the Good deeds card

On the Behavior tab, open the Good deeds card.

Tap and hold a good deed

Tap and hold a good deed to enter multi-select mode.

Select the good deeds

Select one, several, or all the good deeds you want to delete.

Tap the trash icon

Tap the trash icon.

Confirm the deletion

Read the confirmation carefully and confirm.

Heads up: review the selected good deeds before confirming. Deletion is permanent.

💡 Tips

Good deeds help the behavior score go up (just like compliments).
If you want to recognize without touching the child's balance, use compliments — they don't assign points or money.
Points and money in ParensUP are symbolic — they don't represent real money and don't allow withdrawals.
