Incidents: record, edit, and delete

Incidents are used to record situations that need attention, conversation, or consequence within the family's routine. They can deduct points or symbolic money and can also generate a restriction. It is an exclusive ParensUP Premium feature.

Part 1

Record an incident

01

Open the behavior record screen

There are two paths to reach the record screen:

Choose the path
From the Home tab
Via Quick actions on Home.
or
From the Behavior tab
Via the + New record button.
Important: incidents are part of the Behavior tab — an exclusive ParensUP Premium feature. See how to activate Premium if you don't have it yet.
If you chose From the Home tabcontinue to step 02

If you chose From the Behavior tab, continue to step 03

02

06

Set the symbolic consequence

Tell whether the incident will have a consequence in:

  1. Points
  2. Symbolic money

This value will be deducted from the child's balance. If you don't want to deduct anything, leave it without a value (or as the option available in the app). Then tap Next.

07

Add a description if you want

You can write an additional description about the incident.

This field is optional.

08

Add a restriction if you want

You can also add an optional restriction. Enter:

  1. What the restriction is
  2. Until when it will be active, if there is a deadline

If you leave it without a deadline, the restriction stays permanent until it is removed manually by the guardian.

09

Tap "Record incident"

After reviewing the information, tap Record incident.

All set! The incident has been recorded. If there is a consequence in points or symbolic money, the value will be deducted from the child's balance. If there is a restriction, it will appear as active in the Home tab.

💡 Tips

  • An incident may or may not deduct points or symbolic money — it depends on what the family agrees on.
  • The restriction is optional and can have a deadline or stay active until it is removed manually.
  • Points and money in ParensUP are symbolic — they don't represent real money and don't allow withdrawals.
