When to use this article

Use this walkthrough to record, edit, or delete the child's achievements in ParensUP.

Achievements: record, edit, and delete

Achievements record something the child reached, bought, or did using points or symbolic coins — useful when they saved up a value for something specific and the family wants to mark that moment in the app. It is an exclusive ParensUP Premium feature.

Part 1

Record an achievement

Open the incentive creation screen

There are two paths to reach the creation screen:

Choose the path

From the Home tab

Via Quick actions on Home.

From the Incentives tab

Via the + Create incentive button.

Important: achievements are part of the Incentives tab — an exclusive ParensUP Premium feature. See how to activate Premium if you don't have it yet.

If you chose From the Incentives tab, continue to step 03

Open from the Home tab

Sign in to the app with the adult/guardian login.
Go to the Home tab.
In Quick actions, tap Create incentive.
Select Achievement.

Open from the Incentives tab

Sign in to the app with the adult/guardian login.
Go to the Incentives tab.
Tap the + Create incentive button.
Select Achievement.

Fill in the main information

Enter:

Icon
Achievement name
Category

Then tap Next.

Enter the value used

Type the symbolic value that was spent on the achievement.

This value will be deducted from the child's balance.

Add a note if you want

You can write a note about the achievement.

This field is optional.

Tap "Record achievement"

After reviewing the information, tap Record achievement.

All set! The achievement has been recorded. It will be available in the Incentives tab, under the Achievements card. The value entered will be deducted from the child's symbolic balance.

Part 2

View an achievement

Open the "Incentives" tab

Open the Achievements card

On the Incentives tab, open the Achievements card.

Tap the achievement

Tap the achievement you want to view.

Part 3

Edit an achievement

Open the achievement

On the Incentives tab, on the Achievements card, tap the desired achievement.

Tap "Edit"

On the details screen, tap Edit.

Make the changes

Change whatever is needed in the form.

Save the changes

After reviewing, save the changes.

All set! The achievement has been updated.

Part 4

Delete an achievement

Open the achievement

On the Incentives tab, on the Achievements card, tap the desired achievement.

Tap "Delete"

On the details screen, tap Delete.

Confirm the deletion

Confirm the deletion.

Heads up: deletion is permanent — the achievement no longer appears in the child's history.

Part 5

Delete multiple achievements

Tap and hold an achievement

On the Incentives tab, tap and hold an achievement to enter multi-select mode.

Select the achievements

Select one, several, or all the achievements you want to delete.

Tap the trash icon

Tap the trash icon.

Confirm the deletion

Read the confirmation carefully and confirm.

Heads up: review the selected achievements before confirming. Deletion is permanent.

💡 Tips

Achievements help the child see the result of their own effort.
When you record an achievement, the value entered is deducted from the child's symbolic balance.
Points and coins in ParensUP are symbolic — they don't represent real money and don't allow withdrawals.
